A considered composition of black basalt, brushed copper, and warm cream — designed to calm the senses before the first cut.
Material Palette
Our interior language draws from Zurich's architectural restraint — dark foundations, warm metallic accents, and soft neutral surfaces that reflect light without glare.
Spatial Design
Black marble reception desk with copper inlay. A scent of cedar and bergamot welcomes guests upon arrival.
Twelve stations arranged in a gentle arc. Each chair faces a copper-framed mirror with individual LED task lighting.
Four reclining wash units in cream leather with black ceramic bowls and copper faucet fixtures.
Enclosed room with black walnut panelling, copper sconces, and a single vintage-style barber chair.
Cream linen sofas, black side tables, and a curated selection of design magazines and grooming literature.
Open copper shelving showcasing our selected pomades, oils, and combs — available from CHF 24.
Design Intent
Every design decision serves the guest experience. Acoustic panels hidden behind cream plaster reduce street noise from Bahnhofstrasse. Copper surfaces are antimicrobial and develop a living patina over time. The 3.2-metre ceiling height and warm lighting eliminate the clinical feel of conventional salons.
The studio was designed in collaboration with Zürich-based studio Atelier Forma and completed over eight months of custom fabrication.
